Zones is committed to conducting business responsibly and respecting human rights across its operations and supply chains. Zones recognises that forced labour and child labour are serious global issues that can occur in complex international supply chains, and that organisations have a role to play in addressing and reducing these risks.

This statement is published in accordance with Canada’s Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act and outlines the general measures Zones has taken to prevent and reduce the risk that forced labour or child labour is used in its supply chains.

Zones’ structure, activities and supply chains

Zones is a corporate entity that provides information technology (“IT”) solutions that are comprised of IT products and services to customers across a range of industries. Zones’ supply chains include manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, logistics providers, vendors, and service partners located in multiple jurisdictions. Due to the global nature of IT supply chains, certain stages of production may present elevated risks that require attention and oversight.

Policies and due diligence in relation to forced labour and child labour 

Zones maintains policies and standards designed to promote ethical business conduct and responsible sourcing practices. Zones expects its manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, logistics providers, vendors, and service partners  to comply with applicable laws and regulations related to labour standards and human rights in the jurisdictions in which they operate.

Risk awareness—parts of business and supply chains that carry risk

Zones takes a risk‑based approach to identify potential forced labour and child labour risks within its supply chains. This approach includes consideration of factors such as geography, industry sector, and the type of goods and services sourced. Where appropriate, Zones engages with suppliers to increase transparency and understanding of supply chain practices.

Measures taken to remediate any forced labour or child labour

Zones has not identified any forced labour or child labour in its activities or supply chains. Accordingly, no measures have been taken to remediate any forced labour or child labour. 

Measures taken to remediate the loss of income to the most vulnerable families that results from any measure taken to eliminate the use of forced labour or child labour in its activities and supply chains

Zones has not identified any loss of income to vulnerable families resulting from measures taken to eliminate the use of forced labour or child labour in Zones’ activities or supply chains. Accordingly, no measures have been taken to remediate the loss of income for the most vulnerable families.

Training and awareness

Zones recognises the importance of awareness in supporting responsible sourcing. Relevant employees and stakeholders may receive training and/or guidance to help identify supply chain risks and reinforce requirements regarding ethical conduct.

Assessing effectiveness

Zones continues to review, assess and enhance its approach to managing supply chain risks related to forced labour and child labour. This approach includes evaluating existing processes and policies and considering opportunities to strengthen oversight and supplier engagement over time.
